简介：拉达有一位患了口吃的男朋友山姆，口吃给山姆带来了极大的生活障碍，于是拉达陪着山姆去看医生，医生给山姆介绍了一款治疗口吃的仪器，他戴上仪器后开心的发现，自己说话竟然正常了。但他却在几天后抛弃了女友拉达。被抛弃的拉达在沉寂了一段时间之后终于走出伤痛，她开始写一封封温暖人心的信，用红色的信封包裹好，挨家挨户的送到陌生人家门前的收信箱里。\r\n电工米克在妻子离世后独自抚养着女儿，某天中午他接到了儿童保护服务人员琳达的电话，并且定在第二天对他进行家访，米克正为了家访的事心烦的时候，他面前正在上演一起意外事故。\r\n一位拖着行李箱的男人因为跑得太急，把一位戴着头巾的女人给撞晕了，那女人正是拉达。拖行李箱的男人叫尼尔，他正打算去找母亲拿钱筹拍话剧，但因为堵车已经要迟到了，所以他留下了自己的名片火速离开，而拉达则被路边的医生送去了医院。米克无意间发现了拉达遗落的信封，他通过网络查到了拉达的照片，并打印了带有拉达照片的海报四处张贴，希望能找到拉达。\r\n第二天医院给他打来电话，告诉他拉达现在在医院。米克立刻带着女儿去医院找到她，把信封物归原主，这时米克才想起来和儿童保护的工作人员约定了家访，拉达表示可以开车送他回家。回到家后的米克惊讶的发现房间已经大变样，之前乱糟糟的房间竟然被收拾的井井有条，而自己的朋友巴里正在和家访员谈笑风生。\r\n尼尔在话剧上映之后遭到了剧评人韦斯利的零分差评，遭受打击的他偷偷的尾随着韦斯利到了一处空旷的地方，准备对其进行报复，却没想到韦斯利正打算上吊自杀，尼尔情急之下割断了韦斯利上吊的绳子救了他。
